Feedback on Pitch

In our feedback, we recieved good response from our peers. Overall we came to an agreement that our pitch was successful and we are going to keep many of our initual ideas. However, we are going to change our target audience ages of 12-21, as many people thought that 12 was a bit too young for the type of film opening we were planning to shoot. So our peers and teachers persuaded us to raise the age bracket to about 15-20. Our reasons for this was that we thought that this was a more appropriate age for our target audience and many people could relate to the lives of the characters in our film opening.

Due to the fact that we are filming our film opening at Highbury and Islington station, we may need to seek permission from staff and members of the public as certain people may not want to be shown on camera or in the shot. Although we are fiming for a short period of time, seeking permission seems to be the best option, as we avoid being penalised.

Props

 We will need money to show the crime element and also the antagonist will be flauting his money to his 'boys'

 Mobile phones- We will need phones because it is a teen movie having phones is going to be essential to make it much more realistic.









The fake gun will be needed because one of our characters will be shot and to make it much more realistic we will need a replica of a gun.
























We will use tin foil and plastic bags in order to give the viewer an impression of drugs.

Costumes - opening for Trail and Tribulations

Akbar : Omar (roadman) These are the type of clothing that Akbar's character would be wearing, to portray a bad hood-like character. Mainly in all black and denim jeans would be ideal to this particular character.

Janet : Alisha (main girl) re These are the type of clothing that Janet's character would be wearing,she is seen as being a 'plain Jane' and an ordinary teenage girl who doesn't depend on the new fashion trends .

David : Jerome a.k.a jay/jay-squeeze (main guy) These are the type of clothing that David's character would be wearing. His character's appearance is a little trendy but also urban at times due to where hes going and his friends.

Amra : Sarah (Alisha's friend) These are the type of clothing that Amra's character would be wearing,she is also a 'plain Jane' like her best friend Alisha. Amra's character loves to wear urban clothing and backpacks as she is majorly interested in music .

Tuesday 3rd Feb-Planing & Pitch Preparation

Today we started to plan and prepare for our pitch. This part of the preparation we start to blog and create presentations or powerpoint.

Thursday 6th Feb- Pitch  

The pitch is where we present to the class what we have planned for our Film opening and also show them our preparation we have completed over the last week.

Tuesday 11th- Review

After the pitch, we are told what improvements can be made to benefit the film and if possible we can start filming straightaway. 

Thursday 13th- Filming

If filming wasn't started a couple of days ago then filming will be started. 

HALF TERM FILMING- 

WEDNESDAY 19TH 3.00pm- MONDAY 24th 8.45am

Throughout the holidays our groups meets up and we continue filming the rest of the scenes. We will be filming in Hyde Park and Barbican. 

Tuesday 25th February- Filming and or Editing

If filming hasn't been finished then we will carry on filming. However if filming is finished we will start to edit.

Thursday 27th February- Tuesday 4th March- Editing

We will have a long time to edit and also if there are some small filming to be done then it will be done during this period.

Tuesday 4th March- ROUGH CUT DEADLINE

The rough cut deadline is where we present to the class what we have so far and show a rough cut of our film opening. 

Thursday 6th March- Review of R/C

After the review of the rough cut we finish of the editing or if there are mistakes in the filming then we re-film that certain part. 

Tuesday 11th March- DEADLINE!!!!!!

On that day it is deadline day, this is where we finish off all our blogs off etc.

The use of the sound effect we chose had to be relate to the genre of our film opening. We went onto sound cloud and searched for music that was required for the opening.

After we selected the music files we thought would be suitable for our film opening we downloaded the file.

Then we collected all the music files and played the music files again just to see if it will fit in out film.

1) Title of movie:  Trial and Tribulations

2) Brief outline of the whole film
 - Main character Jerome ( Jay Squeeze) goes through many challenges in life in terms of gangs, money and drugs.
- He meets a girl named Alisha who brings out the good in me and suddenly wants to change his life around.
- However, getting out of the gang life isn't as easy as he hoped and faces more challenges and consequences.
- At the end of the film, both Alisha and Jerome get chased down by fellow gang members.

Brief OPENING of the film
- The start of the film starts with Jerome having a flashback of the events that took place before the death of his friend Alisha.

We chose 'Big Talk Productions' which is an English film and television production company founded by Nira Park in 1995. It has helped produce many small budget films that are based in the UK.
