Costumes

JEROME AKA JAY SQUEEZE

These are the costumes we had planned on wearing, as we thought it would fit perfectly for the characters we were attempting to portray.

Jerome played by David is shown wearing a Nike windrunner, Zara jeans, converses and a beanie that says "Comme des fuckdown." Although he is involved in gangs and drugs, he has always been different to the stereotypical "hood man" this is shown through his simple clothing.

Filming Plan

During our filming, we decided to make a rough plan about what we are doing in each scene which made things much more easier rather than having a rough idea in our heads.

Here is our rough plan

Scene 1
Alisha dead on the floor (close up) Flashback
Jerome crying + speech

Just before scene 2 begins, we chose to have a narrator speaking which is Jerome and he introduces his story.

Scene 2
The story begins.
Jerome and friends (gang) are chilling

Scene 3

Jerome and Alisha first meet at a train station (Highbury & Islington)
Alsiha is sitting down and Jerome asks for a seat near her.

Scene 4
Alisha and Sarah (friends) are out shopping. Whilst walking out the shop, Alisha bumps into Jerome again.

Scene 5
Jerome is initially meant to be with Omar, however, Jerome lies to Omar saying he is busy, but Omar catches him and Alisha togther.

Scene 6
All 3 characters are seem together, Omar is angry that Jerome has not only been lying but spending time with a GIRL. Jerome notices that Omar has a gun and the pair make a run for it.

Scene 7
As the pair run off with Omar chasing after them, they accidenatlly split up and Alisha is the one who gets hunted down. The scene ends with her lying on the floor. Shot dead.

Equipment

An extra thing we used was a Digital Camera. Although we didn't need the digital camera to film. We used the digital camera just to take picture of our filming and the process of production.

To film we used a lot of equipment. E.g.

Weather

Weather

When filming we used to check before we filmed so we used to look out for sunny days or clear weather.

If there was days that there was really bad weather we wouldn't film because the camera might get damaged and also in our scenes we do not require bad weather.

Camera Equipment/Problems :(

During the course of filming there were several problems we faced when it came to the camera are to get a steady image.

TRIPOD OR FIG-RIG

Benefit of fig rig
+Small
+Portable
+Firm grip
+Quick to set up

Disadvantages

+Cannot use light box
+Image is not always steady
+Some shots are very hard to capture with the fig rig

Benefits of tripod
+Steady image
+Easier to pan and tilt

Disadvantages
+Too big
+A lot of time is wasted setting up

FILMING HAS BEEN COMPLETED

Finally, after the weeks of long and tiresome filming, we have now completed our filming for our film opening.

Change in location

We had originally planned to film at The Barbican, Highbury and Islington station and Hyde park . Due to the changes in our film opening we decided to film at Oxford st outside New Look. We decided to re-plan our locations due to the weather conditions and to the amount of time we had Left film .

One of the scenes was outside new look , this was a challenge as we had to ask for permission first from the manager .Oxford st is a busy street with many people passing by every second. It had it harder for us to film although we managed to accomplish what we had wanted to get .

We also filmed some parts of our film in college because of time and the location we choose seemed to fit more than using the Hyde park. It was possible to film in this location because it was quit and we were able to film a variety of different shots and scenes as the location is large in size .
